Introduction to Lead Electrolysis
Lead electrolysis is a metallurgical process used to refine lead, which is essential in silver production because of lead's high ability to capture and recover gold and silver, often exceeding 95%. The lead electrolysis process involves the use of silicofluoric acid and lead fluosilicate as the electrolyte, crude lead as the anode, and pure lead as the cathode to produce precipitated lead through electrolysis. The main procedures include anode casting, lead electrolysis, and lead melting casting.
